Charging Trolleys for Cordless Table Lamps: A Guide for Restaurants & Hotels

Jianbian Lighting / Hospitality know-how
Beautiful table lighting.
A considered charging routine.
From the last table cleared to the next service prepared, a centralized charging trolley gives cordless lamps a dedicated place behind the scenes.

The working side of table lighting
Plan the charging routine with the lamp.
A table lamp charging trolley combines multiple charging positions on a mobile, multi-tier frame. For restaurants and hotels, it brings compatible lamps together in one service area between uses.
Jianbian Lighting Technology (zhongshan) Co., Ltd. supplies cordless table lamps and centralized charging solutions for hospitality projects. Our second-generation PIN charging trolley is designed around a matched lamp-base connection, with OEM and ODM support for coordinated lamp and charging requirements.
For a restaurant manager, the practical question is simple: where do the lamps go after service, who checks that they are charging, and how do they return to the right tables? A trolley helps turn those separate tasks into a repeatable routine.
From dining room to service area
Collect. Dock. Return to service.
Collect by area
Bring lamps back from the dining room, bar or hotel lounge. Grouping them by service area makes the next setup easier to organize.
Seat and check
Place each compatible lamp squarely on its matching charging dock. Check the charging indication specified for that lamp before leaving the charging area.
Prepare the next service
Check the lamps before returning them to tables. Keep units needing attention separate from those ready for the next shift.
Give the trolley a designated, dry charging location with suitable power access. Plan the route between that location and the service areas, including doorways and storage space. Disconnect the supply before moving the trolley and follow the instructions for the selected charging system.
For multi-outlet hotels, a clear routine also helps teams keep restaurant lamps, lounge lamps and spare units organized. The value comes from the complete workflow: lamp selection, charging compatibility and daily staff handling.
The connection beneath the design
Why PIN charging needs depth in the base.
PIN charging uses a physical electrical connection between the charging dock and the lamp. The underside of the lamp needs enough space to house the matching connector, secure it in position and accommodate internal wiring.
A very thin lamp base may not provide enough depth for this construction. Adding an opening alone does not make a lamp PIN-compatible: the connector position, supporting structure and charging electronics must work together.
A raised base can provide useful space for this integration, but appearance alone cannot establish compatibility. The actual base construction and electrical requirements determine whether a lamp belongs on a particular charging system.

The trolley uses the factory’s 25 mm PIN charging system. Its shelf drawing specifies Ø25.1 mm mounting openings. This measurement describes the mounting opening; it is not the distance between electrical pins.

Fit is more than a connector.
- Base fit: connector location, installation depth and stable seating.
- Electrical match: the lamp and charging system must have compatible electrical requirements.
- Vertical clearance: lamp height must allow placement and removal beneath the shelf above.
- Shade clearance: wider shades need room between neighboring lamps.
A shelf’s mounting-hole count is not a universal lamp-capacity rating. The usable arrangement depends on the lamp dimensions and the selected charging configuration.
A coordinated lighting collection
Different tables. A considered charging plan.
Pleated shades, textured surfaces and clean silhouettes offer different ways to shape a restaurant or hotel interior. Choose the look for the room, then match the lamp-base configuration and trolley layout to the operational brief.
The designs below illustrate the range available for project discussion. Charging compatibility is specific to the selected configuration; lamps with a similar appearance do not automatically share the same charging connection.

Second-generation PIN charging trolley
Dimensions that help you plan the service area.
The three-tier format brings charging positions onto one mobile frame. Use the overall dimensions to plan the parking space and route, then assess the selected lamps against the available shelf clearance.
| Parameter | Value | Parameter | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall size (H × L × W) | 1050 × 780 × 530 mm | Shelf levels | 3 |
| Clear shelf spacing | 420 mm | Vertical tube length | 450 mm |
| Charging system | 25 mm PIN system | PIN mounting opening | Ø25.1 mm |
One coordinated mechanical layout.
The standardized specification aligns the shelf drilling positions and long-tube positions across the wireless and PIN charging versions. It also uses a consistent 450 mm vertical tube length.
This is a shared mechanical arrangement. Wireless and PIN charging remain different electrical systems, so a common frame or hole layout does not make every lamp interchangeable between them.

Behind the finished table
Look at the complete system.
Workshop photographs show the practical details behind the catalogue image: the docking positions, the lamp-base connection and the arrangement of the charging shelves.
When planning a hospitality installation, review a representative lamp with its intended charging arrangement. Check seating, access around the shade and the way staff will lift each lamp on and off the shelf.
For a custom lamp, include the PIN connection in the base design from the beginning. This gives the exterior proportions, internal construction and charging method a common design brief.
Packing & delivery planning
One trolley. Three cartons.
Each trolley set ships in three cartons using a separate lid-and-base packaging format. The carton dimensions and weights below support receiving and handling planning.
| Package | Dimensions | Carton weight | Per trolley set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carton 1 | 850 × 610 × 105 mm | 19.35 kg | 1 carton |
| Carton 2 | 850 × 610 × 105 mm | 14.35 kg | 1 carton |
| Carton 3 | 280 × 165 × 160 mm | 2.40 kg | 1 carton |
Combined carton weight: 36.10 kg per trolley set.
Project preparation
Start with your lamps and your service routine.
A useful project brief brings the design and operations teams together. Share the lamp styles you prefer, the quantities needed in each service area, and the destination for delivery. For existing lamps, include a clear underside photograph and the lamp’s charging specifications.
Jianbian Lighting supports OEM and ODM projects, including logo, packaging, surface-finish options and product development. For a charging-trolley project, discussing the lamp and charging arrangement together helps define a coherent system for the venue.

Charging trolley questions.
What is a charging trolley for cordless table lamps?
It is a mobile frame with multiple charging positions for compatible lamps. Restaurants and hotels can use it as a central point for charging and organizing lamps between services.
Can every rechargeable table lamp use the same trolley?
No. The lamp’s charging connection, electrical requirements, base construction and physical dimensions must match the charging system and shelf layout.
Why can a thin lamp base be unsuitable for PIN charging?
A thin base may lack the depth needed to install and secure the connector and route its wiring. The base must be designed to accommodate the complete charging connection.
Are the wireless and PIN versions interchangeable?
The standardized versions share coordinated mechanical mounting positions, but their charging methods differ. Mechanical commonality does not establish electrical compatibility.
What should we send for a project quotation?
Send your preferred lamp styles, quantities and delivery destination. For existing lamps, add underside photographs and charging specifications so the team can assess the appropriate arrangement.
